Budo

Budo (武道) is a Japanese term which can be roughly translated as "the way of the warrior" or "the way of war". Budo however is more than simply warfighting techniques and strategies. Rather, in the modern Japanese language, it has strong connotations related to self-improvement and philosophy. In this sense it is a "Way" in the classical Japansese mould common to many East and Southeast Asian philosophical systems.
